Celebrating Children in Need Across Solent Academies Trust

Across Solent Academies Trust, Children in Need was marked by a wonderful display of creativity, community spirit, and generosity.

At Cliffdale Primary Academy, excitement filled the air as children entered a room brimming with delicious cakes. The assembly was a joyful occasion, with students eagerly spotting Pudsey bears on the screen, showing off their colourful outfits, and enthusiastically taking part in the “Challenge Yourself to 25” by jumping 25 times on the spot.

Littlegreen Academy embraced the challenge in their own way, with each class aiming to walk or run an impressive 25 kilometres. The energy and enthusiasm were infectious, everyone joined in, shared laughter, enjoyed tasty treats, and most importantly, celebrated the kindness and sense of community that makes Littlegreen Academy so special.

Meanwhile, at Mary Rose Academy, students were invited to wear spots or Pudsey-inspired clothing in exchange for a donation, adding a splash of colour and fun to the day.

At Redwood Park Academy staff and pupils wore their pyjamas to school to raise money for Children in Need Day. Pupils took part in fun activities including Pudsey’s food challenges, a disco and a treasure hunt. raised just over £175.

At Dove House Academy pupils wore their own clothes in exchange for a donation and raised £120.

Across all our academies, Children in Need was a fantastic opportunity to come together, support a great cause, and remind ourselves of the power of kindness and community. Thank you to everyone who took part and helped make these events such a success!
